Nelson Navarro founded Café con Leche Films after three decades producing internationally — drama series, features and co-productions across multiple continents and territories.
From the papal visit of Pope John Paul II to the Rolling Stones documentary Havana Moon, Joanna Lumley’s Hidden Caribbean, the Ireland–Cuba coproduction Viva (shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film), and House of Lies (the first U.S. scripted TV series filmed in Cuba since 1960), he has successfully completed hundreds of projects.
His expertise in the industry has been built through years of dedication and hard work.
Nelson remains actively involved as Managing Director and Partner at Island Film Cuba.
